Physical Health

Moana Games - A two-day netball tournament celebrating diversity, connection, and the Pacific Rainbow community through sport and inclusivity. 4th and 5th April - Selwyn Sports Centre, 70 Broadlands Drive, Rolleston.

Quail Island Family Tramp - 25th January 9.30 for 10am ferry - 3pm - a guided easy 2.5 hour walk for all ages including ferry trip from Lyttleton, bring a picnic (that you can carry on your walk) - need google form for registrations so we know numbers for ferry booking.

 

Unity Flow Yoga with Pele - Join us for a rejuvenating yoga experience designed to nurture your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Through guided meditation, intentional breathwork, and gentle movement, this programme offers a safe and inclusive space for Pacific and Māori Rainbow communities, their families, and allies to connect, heal, and grow.

Starts 6th June 6.20am for 6 weeks - registration details to follow. 

 

Moana Vibes - Movement with Music with Vui Suli... on March to September 2025 - The next sessions are every Saturday in June, 12pm Te Pou Toetoe (Linwood Pools) 141 Smith Street, Linwood, Christchurch 45 min sessions for all abilities, no need to register just come and join in

Wellness Wero -

An 8-week Health and Wellbeing workshop designed to help you embrace movement and mindfulness as key elements of a balanced lifestyle. 

Each session is thoughtfully crafted around Te Whare Tapa Whā, fostering holistic wellbeing through connection, resilience, and self-care.

When: Saturdays, May 3 – July 12, 2025 
Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Hall open from 8:30 AM)
Where: North New Brighton Community Centre, 93 Marine Parade, North New Brighton

Healthy Habits

Health and Connection Through Food

Discover the joy of cooking and connection!

 

Puāwai – Kai is a free, 8-week healthy lifestyle and cooking course designed to inspire you to make positive changes in your health and wellbeing. Whether you’re managing diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, or simply want to learn new skills, this course is for you.

What You’ll Experience:

  • Weeks 1-3: Learn about nutrition, lifestyle changes, and how sleep, stress, and activity impact your health. Enjoy shared kai prepared by our team.

  • Weeks 4-8: Hands-on cooking sessions where you’ll prepare and enjoy delicious meals with others.

Who Can Join?
Open to all! Spaces are limited to 14 participants per course, so register early to secure your spot. A commitment to the full 8 weeks is encouraged to make the most of the experience.
